NOTE: As more Birmingham-area restaurants and bars enter and exit the legions of take-out and curbside service, one of the best ways to find the most up-to-date information is to visit a restaurant’s social media accounts.AL.com will no longer update this particular list. However, we will continue to cover resources, restaurants, and bars as they navigate the hospitality industry’s new normal.
UPDATE: March 18, 10:02 A.M.: In addition to breweries, this list now include bars

Patrons will be limited to one 750-ml bottle of spirits- that means maximum one 750-ml bottle of wine; or a six pack of beer.
UPDATE: March 16, 5:29 P.M:
The Jefferson County Health Department has prohibited bars, restaurants, and breweries in the county from allowing on-premise consumption until March 24th. The order will go into effect on March 17, 2020.
The department will allow bars, restaurants, and breweries to have curbside and carryout orders.
The original list continues below. (Note: as of right now, we will keep updating this list)
Birmingham-area restaurants are adjusting their services to offer delivery and curbside pick-up options amid concerns over COVID-19, the illness caused by the novel coronavirus.
Since the Alabama Department of Public Health announced the state’s first confirmed case of COVID-19 on March 13, restaurants in and around Birmingham began to take steps to ease patrons’ concerns about dining safety and health, directing patrons to their take out and delivery options. A growing number of area restaurants are amending their dining services to now include take out and curbside pick up. Some restaurants have temporarily suspended dining room operations: Urban Smoke in Fairfield will now only offer its drive-through services. Starting on March 17, Shu Shop in Birmingham will pivot from its in-house only dining policy to offer take out and delivery options. Trussville brewpub Ferus Artisan Ales is taking to-go orders for food and beer (canned only), as well as offering curbside pickup.
Joining city leaders in a call to stay safe while supporting local businesses, restaurant patrons spread the word about new eatery options through social media. As more restaurants announced the changes, food and blog podcast “Eating Alabama” shared the updates through its Instagram story.
This is a running list of restaurants offering new pickup, delivery, and curbside service pickup and delivery options. AL.com will update this list several times throughout the day. Know of a Birmingham-area restaurant offering temporary curbside pick-up or delivery service? Send an email to reporter Shauna Stuart at firstname.lastname@example.org.
