The City of Long Beach is in Stage 2 of economic recovery. The Safer at Home Health Order is still in place with an indefinite date, but low-risk retails can open under strict guidelines. Purchases can only be made by curbside pick-up while using facial coverings and social distancing. Businesses are required to follow a detailed checklist that can be found on the City’s website. Also opening are nature trails and public and private golf courses. Starting Monday, May 11th, residents will have access to beach and walkway paths, tennis centers and parking lots.
The community is still encouraged to get tested for COVID-19. Free drive-thru testing remains available for symptomatic residents and asymptomatic essential workers. To make an appointment and stay updated on the coronavirus visit, or call, (562) 570-INFO (4636). La Conferencia tabién está disponible en español.
